Sponsoring a project through World in Need is an exciting way to support our efforts. You can help support a project for as little as $35 a month.

We have numerous on-going projects for humanitarian aid, education, construction, health care, community aid, and much more. When you sponsor a project you’ll receive a report describing the impact your gift had. Whenever possible, photos will also be included.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Helping Farmers in Kenya

The ordinary tractor can be one of the most transformational tools in struggling African agricultural communities. Without a tractor, farms must be worked by hand. Communities relying on hand farming can’t compete against modern farming techniques, causing people to leave their communities to find work in the cities. A father could be forced to leave his family, causing hardship for his wife and children. Sponsoring a tractor is a way to reach out and help a whole community grow and prosper, keeping families together and supporting children in the area by improving the economy of their community.

Playgrounds in India

In addition to the Kalima School children’s playground came about through generous donations from Sponsors like you. To date, we have sponsored projects ranging $1,500 to $120,000.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Wells in India

World in Need has helped many communities throughout India and Africa build wells where previously there was no safe, fresh water. In some cases, a mother would have to walk miles to pick up water every day. Your generosity in sponsoring wells helps mothers and children get access to the water of life.
 

Treatment for Orphans with Bronchitis

There are hundreds of children in specialized facilities suffering from bronchitis. Some of them have the chronic form, and the others are in need of temporary treatment. Something as simple as inhalers are often beyond the reach of these poverty-stricken area. World in Need helps provide medical equipment like this to the people who need it the most.

Training for Older Orphans

Most orphans are required to leave an orphanage by the age of 18.  With minimal preparation for life in the real world and no support network, many find themselves trapped in the lives of poverty, prostitution, drugs and other crime. Your Sponsorship will help prepare these teens for life after the orphanage.  Job skills and life & family training will equip them with tools they can use to become productive in the adult world.
